Like everyone else at Zap2it, I'm obsessed with celebrity news and TV. So sue me. Actually don't. Thanks.

I came to Zap2it from The Washington Post, where I launched and wrote the site's award-winning Celebritology blog for five years. I mainly covered celeb buzz, but also spent four years -- with partner Jen Chaney -- writing in-depth analysis of ABC's "Lost." No, I didn't like the ending either, but that doesn't mean the journey wasn't worth it. And, yes, I am in fact an accredited Celebritologist. But there's only so much Hollywood a girl can cover from D.C., so I made the leap to L.A. and zap2it and haven't looked back.

I'm a graduate of Arlington, Va.'s Washington-Lee High School, the secret "Fame" school of the Mid-Atlantic region*, responsible for unleashing the mega-talented Sandra Bullock, Shirley Maclaine, Warren Beatty and Gena Rowlands. So I was, of course, destined for a career writing about their marriages, divorces, baby bumps and general miscellany.

My family is a bit of a newspaper dynasty, but not the type that rolls -- or once rolled -- in big piles of money like the Grahams or the Sulzbergers. My paternal grandfather was a linotype operator for The Philadelphia Inquirer. His wife was a copy editor there. My dad majored in journalism, but ended up in the Army.

Movies I will watch anytime it's on: "Master and Commander," "Urban Cowboy," "Napoleon Dynamite," "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane," "Sunset Blvd."

If I could be zapped into any TV show, which would it be? "The Simpsons."

Favorite fictional book series set in the Napoleonic era: "Master and Commander" by Patrick O'Brien.

Would you ever name a child after a fictional character? My son's name is Desmond. Draw your own conclusions.
