Tierney knew she was destined to become a journalist after watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" way back when its reruns were still airing on FX and thought, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if I could just write about my love for 'Buffy' as a career?" Tierney is Zap2it's resident rookie, joining the team in November of 2010, where one of her very first posts was about -- you guessed it -- "Buffy."

Prior, Tierney was a writer/reporter for E! Online's popular Watch With Kristin blog. Tierney can often be found sitting on her couch with fellow Zap2it writer Carina Adly MacKenzie discussing the philosophical meaning of "The Vampire Diaries," waxing poetically about "The O.C.'s" Seth Cohen being the most perfect TV boy ever, and debating why Rory was truly meant to be with Jess on "Gilmore Girls."


Most embarrassing celebrity encounter: I would say "The O.C." creator Josh Schwartz at Comic-Con, but I don't think hovering behind him in line for drinks qualifies as an encounter. And yes, he counts as a celebrity.

Favorite Movie line: "I didn't invent the rainy day, man. I just own the best umbrella." -- "Almost Famous"

Movie I will watch anytime it's on: "Roman Holiday"

Favorite Movie snacks: Popcorn and m&m's mixed together with a Diet Coke.

TV town I want to live in: Sunnydale or Mystic Falls, but I'd probably be one of the background high-schoolers whose death (which serves as an entertaining plot device) is not mourned.

Favorite Superhero: Buffy Summers

Favorite TV comedy: "Cougar Town." I often dream of being a member of the Cul-de-sac Crew. I pretend by playing penny can and movie mash-up on a daily basis.
