2010 Winter Olympics: Sven Kramer asks NBC reporter, 'Are you stupid?'

sven-kramer-olympics.jpgOlympian Sven Kramer was none too happy with an NBC affiliate reporter asking him to identify himself in their interview.

On the heels of Netherlands speedskater Sven Kramer taking the gold medal in the men's 5000m, the unidentified reporter says to Kramer, "I need you to say your name, your country and what you just won here."

Kramer's response?  "Are you stupid? Hell no, I'm not gonna do that."

On the one hand, the NBC reporter can be heard in the background saying, "For tape identification" but on the other hand... the dude just won a gold medal and, according to Fourth Place Medal, Sven Kramer is arguably the most recognizable athlete in his home country. We can see how it would be a teensy bit insulting.

So this is sort-of the equivalent of a reporter from the Netherlands coming up to Tiger Woods after he has just won another green jacket and asking him who he is, where he's from and what he just won.

NBC reporting FAIL.
