'30 Rock': Alec Baldwin promises 'a lot of inappropriate things'
In addition to the usual cast, the Emmy-winning series has added James Marsden for a stint as Liz Lemon's ( Tina Fey) slacker boyfriend. It also will feature appearances from Kristen Schaal, Denise Richards, Kelsey Grammer and Will Arnett.
Alec Baldwin, who plays Jack Donaghy on the show, promises "a lot of inappropriate things" Season 6. He adds, "It wouldn't be '30 Rock' if we didn't have people doing things they shouldn't be doing."
Perhaps the most inappropriate thing will come with the resolution of the story involving Donaghy's wife Avery ( Elizabeth Banks). At the end of last season, Avery was kidnapped by Kim Jong-Il ( Margaret Cho) while traveling through North Korea. She was then forced to wed his son, Kim Jong-Un. With the North Korean dictator's actual death in Dec. 2011, the show will ultimately have to figure out how to deal with this.
In an interview with US Weekly, "30 Rock" producer, Robert Carlock says, "We'd already shot eight or nine episodes...We can't go back and address the changes there, but the fun puzzle is turning around and trying to figure out how to get her [Avery] out of there and how to continue things."
The series returns on Jan. 12 at 8 p.m. ET.
