Usually, it's best to let the people involved know about canceling a TV series before the rest of the world finds out. With Twitter around, however, that can be kind of difficult. That is exactly what the cast of "90210" learned recently.

AnnaLynne McCord, who plays Naomi Clark on "90210," recently told Life & Style Weekly  that she and the rest of the cast had to learn about the end of their series the way everyone else did -- via Twitter.

"It was a shocker," she explained. "We found out via Twitter -- that wasn't cool at all."

The CW recently announced that "90210" would be ending after the Season 5 finale on Monday, May 13. It is expected that this finale will give closure on much of the soap's ongoing stories. McCord, however, will have a special version of the end.

"They rewrote the ending and I liked the original so I filmed my own ending -- a surprise for the fans," she said. That version will be filmed and available on YouTube after the finale airs. This of course begs the question: What happens to Naomi that would inspire McCord to write a new goodbye?

We won't know until that end comes, but new episodes of "90210" will continue airing Mondays at 9pm on The CW.
