No one has ever been happier than the 'Orange Is The New Black' cast ruling the NYC pride parade

oitnb-cast-nyc-gay-pride-2014.jpgWe don't need to be the ones to tell you that "Orange Is The New Black" is one of the richest pieces of television out there. Part of what makes the show so fabulous is the incredible cast. Words like, vivacious, powerful and full of energy come to mind in describing the large ensemble.

Since "Orange" has gotten massive praise for its depictions of sexuality and gender identity issues, it was no surprise that practically the entire cast was on hand to participate at this year's Gay Pride Parade in New York on Sunday (June 29). And honestly there was no one happier to be invited to the party than Litchfield's finest.

Cast members including Yael Stone (Lorna Morello), Samira Wiley (Poussey Washington), Dascha Polanco (Dayanara Diaz), Danielle Brooks (Taystee) and Matt McGorry (Officer Bennett) all rode through the parade on an "Orange" themed float. Co-star Laverne Cox (Sophia) got to ride in her own, separate, posh ride as she served as one of the event's grand marshals.

Thankfully, the social media savvy cast documented the joyful occasion on Instagram. Check out some of their best pictures below.
