A 'Girls' movie: Could it happen?

During an event at the Television Academy's Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in Los Angeles, Calif. on Thursday (March 13), "Girls" executive producer Ilene S. Landress, alongside the cast of the HBO series, teased a sold-out crowd with the possibility of a future film adaptation.

With the premiere of the "Veronica Mars" film on everyone's mind and the "Entourage" movie in production, the "Girls" team was asked if the polarizing comedy might ever see its own theatrical release, to which Landress responded, "Sure. Why not?"

Of course, her answer came with a caveat: "...if Lena [Dunham] and Jenni [Konner] and Judd [Apatow] have something left to say."

Somehow, it's hard to imagine a time may ever come when Dunham doesn't have anything to say.

Do you hope to see a "Girls" movie in the future?
