psych-series-finale-james-roday-dule-hill.jpgIn preparation for the final two episodes of "Psych," stars James Roday and Dulé Hill and creator Steve Franks spoke with the press Thursday (March 13) about their experience on the show over the past eight years.

One thing that's been creating some buzz online since USA announced that "Psych" was ending is that the network president Chris McCumber said in his statement at the time, " While the series will wrap in March, somehow I don't believe we've heard the last of Shawn and Gus."

Zap2it had to ask what exactly that meant and Franks says that while nothing is in the works, he's definitely open to a "Psych" movie.

"For us, we knew at the beginning of Season 8 that this was going to be the last one ... but for me, it's like I never stopped wanting to make a version of the show, and I've always kept it very much out there that I'd love to make a movie above all else," says Franks.

"We love doing the show and I think we've all acknowledged that at some point, if there's another -- whether it's a movie or something else, obviously I don't think it would be like a full-time series again, but I think most of us would jump at that," he continues, "We would be really excited to get back in this world because I don't think I'm ever going to have as much fun doing anything else as I had doing this."

Hill adds, "I think we're all hoping that Chris McCumber meant that we'll do some type of film or something. We enjoy working with each other and we enjoy the fans, and there are always other stories to tell within the 'Psych' world. We hope that there's more beyond our series finale on March 26."

"Psych" airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on USA.
