marvels-agent-carter-agents-of-shield-season-2.jpgABC is expanding its Marvel universe with two series from the comic book giant on the network's 2014-15 schedule. "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" will return for Season 2, while "Marvel's Agent Carter," the top-secret pilot that's been in the works for some time, will officially go to series.

"Agent Carter" is set in 1946 and stars Hayley Atwell as her "Captain America" character. According to ABC's description, "peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve),  Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life - Steve Rogers."

Meanwhile, "Agents of SHIELD" will stick around for a second season. The Season 1 finale airs Tuesday (May 13) on ABC.
