ABC sets summer dates for 'Bachelorette,' 'Wipeout'
"The Bachelorette," which will feature recent "Bachelor" castoff Ali Fedotowsky seeking televised romance, will kick off at 9 p.m. ET Monday, May 24, following the final performance show of "Dancing with the Stars." It moves to 8 o'clock on May 31, where it will lead into "True Beauty" at 10.
Vanessa Minnillo will return as a host and judge of the show, which takes 10 attractive men and women who think they're part of a contest based on their looks but are actually being judged on their character. She'll be joined at the judging table by "Queer Eye" stylist Carson Kressley and Beth Ostrosky Stern, a model and the wife of Howard Stern.
"Wipeout" will begin its third season of people performing goofy stunts and taking head-first pratfalls on June 22. John Anderson, John Henson and Jill Wagner will return as your hosts.
"The Bachelorette" drew 8.2 million viewers during its summer run, while "Wipeout" delivered 8.1 million and "True Beauty" 7.3 million. All three are pretty respectable numbers for summer shows.
