'Academy Originals': Watch Dustin Lance Black explain his process

dustin-lance-black-ampas.jpg If you've ever wanted to get inside the head of successful filmmakers and artists, now is your chance. The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences (AMPAS) has launched its first original digital series, "Academy Originals," that will let you do just that.

The documentary-style video series examines the creative process of successful filmmakers, the moments that changed the course of filmmaking, the artists who are charting its future and more. The series debuted with three videos and the fourth focuses on screenwriter Dustin Lance Black's "creative spark."

Black ("Milk," "J. Edgar") takes viewers inside his creative process in an exploration of where ideas come from in his episode.
