'A.C.O.D.' trailer: Adam Scott is a complete mess as an adult child of divorce
Things are about to get downright Oedipal for Adam Scott.
The "Parks and Recreation" star's latest project is the movie "A.C.O.D.," and his character's stepmother is played by none other than his "Parks and Rec" love interest Amy Poehler. But before you start crying "Incest!" don't worry: there's nothing romantic about Poehler and Scott's relationship in "A.C.O.D."
Scott plays Carter, a seemingly well-adjusted young man who is actually an adult child of divorce. After building what he believes is a successful career and relationship despite suffering through his parents' toxic civil war of a divorce as a child, he is forced to watch old tensions and arguments reignite when his younger brother (Clark Duke) gets married.
Complicating matters, Carter finds out that he was unknowingly part of a study researched by who he thought was his childhood therapist (Jane Lynch), and tries to fight his attraction a fellow A.C.O.D., Michelle (Jessica Alba), while dating Lauren (Mary Elizabeth Winstead).
