adam-lambert-shaved-head.jpgIt's been a while since we've heard from "American Idol" Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert, but sounds like what we're getting after the long silence will be worth the wait.

Lambert announced on his Twitter account that he'll release a new album, called "Trespassing," in spring 2012.

"My album is called TRESPASSING -dropping Spring 2012," he tweeted. "Let's trend it Glamberts! #TRESPASSING."

Lambert also said he'd announce something else tomorrow -- we're thinking it'll be the name of the album's first single. And in case you're wondering, Lambert tweets, "Yes! There is a song on #TRESPASSING by the same name... I wrote it with Pharrell."

The former "Idol" contestant's "For Your Entertainment" debuted at number three on the Billboard charts when it was released in 2009, and its hit single "Whataya Want From Me" garnered Lambert a Grammy nomination.
