Adele to have throat surgery, cancel tour dates

Adele.jpgSinger Adele will not be belting out any ballads for the rest of the year. After a hemorrhage forced the British chanteuse to cancel the rest of her American tour dates, vocal surgery is causing her to cancel her remaining U.K. dates as well.

Colombia Records had this to say. "It is with deep regret that Adele has been forced to cancel her remaining live dates and promotional appearances in 2011. She is to undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat and a full recovery is expected. As a result, doctors have ordered her to rest her voice and completely recuperate before looking to schedule any work commitments."

Poor Adele! The surgery is not expected to affect her voice, thank goodness! We're hoping she'll be all better and ready to sing up a storm at the 2012 Grammy awards, which take place on February 12th.
