"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" left Nick Fury's storyline in flux, and now fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will see it come to a close in the "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" Season 1 finale.
Vulture reports that Samuel L. Jackson will appear as Fury in the Season 1 finale of "Agents of SHIELD," which will air on May 13. His only other appearance on the show was in episode 2, "0-8-4." There are no details about Fury's role in the finale, but judging by the way things were left for SHIELD at the end of "The Winter Soldier," Fury will likely still be cleaning up his mess.
"Agents of SHIELD" will deal with the aftermath of "The Winter Soldier's" game-changing ending in episode 17, "Turn, Turn, Turn," which airs on Tuesday (April 8). It still remains to be seen who the Clairvoyant actually is, and how deep the infestation of evil SHIELD agents goes within the bound of the ABC show. Chances are the final six episodes of Season 1 will deal with the repercussions of "The Winter Soldier."
"Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
