lucy-lawless-agents-of-shield-marvel-season-2-gi.jpg "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" is getting another warrior princess in Season 2. According to TVGuide.com, Lucy Lawless has joined the ABC drama in a mystery role.

As with most Marvel castings, no details are known about the role Lawless will be playing. Hopefully the show's notoriously tight-lipped showrunners, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, will shed some light on the part during "Agents of SHIELD's" San Diego Comic-Con panel on Friday (July 25).

Lawless is best known for playing the title role on "Xena: Warrior Princess." In recent years, she's remained in the geekosphere with arcs on "Battlestar Galactica," "Spartacus" and "No Ordinary Family." Fingers crossed Lawless's character will cross paths with "Agents of SHIELD's" resident kick-butt lady, Ming-Na Wen's Melinda May.

"Agents of SHIELD" Season 2 premieres Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
