Al Roker is going to need to start setting a backup to his alarm clock. For the first time in his 39-year career on morning television, Roker overslept and missed his "Wake Up With Al" show. Clearly America wasn't waking up with him today.

"After 39 years, it happened. I overslept and missed a show. Missed #WUWA. But will be on time for @today," Roker tweets.

His "Today" cohosts gave Roker a hard time once he showed up for that morning news show, but Roker spent much of the morning poking fun as himself. "Morning, Sleepyhead. Overslept and missed #wuwa Here on time for TODAY," he posts in the below Vine.
