Alana De La Garza gives birth to baby girl
De La Garza announced the birth a full week later, apparently too busy with the new baby to bother with social media.
"Sorry I've been MIA, thrilled to announce our lil' miss has made her debut! She is simply DELICIOUS!:) Liv Elena 7/7/13 8.8lbs of awesome!"
The actress continued her justifiable gushing in a follow-up tweet:
"Thank you everyone for all the love... She is amazing! #sayshermom :)"
Liv joins a two-and-a-half-year-old brother, Kieran, in the family -- a boy who has been looking forward to the new arrival. "I was just overwhelmed with pure joy and love. I know it sounds cliche, but that's exactly how I felt," the actress said to People in an interview. "It feels like our little family is complete. She's been here a week and I just can't imagine our lives without her."
De La Garza is a veteran TV actress, probably best known for playing Connie Rubirosa on "Law & Order." More recently, she has appeared on "CSI: Miami" and the short-lived medical drama, "Do No Harm."
