Alec Baldwin apologizes for ripping Harvey Weinstein

alec-baldwin-harvey-weinstein-getty.jpg Alec Baldwin's mouth has gotten him in trouble before. But it appears he's slowly learning his lesson as the "30 Rock" star has apologized for calling movie mogul Harvey Weinstein a "douchebag."

The public spat between the two began earlier in the week. It was then that Baldwin ripped Weinstein for declining to appear in a documentary the actor was making at the Cannes Film Festival.

"I don't care who knows," The Hollywood Reporter quotes Baldwin as saying. "After the success he had at Cannes last year and all the f****** Oscars, he's still a f****** douchebag. I can't believe it."

Since then the two have apparently made up.

The New York Post is reporting that Baldwin sent an apology note to Weinstein while they were at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala.

"HW, my apology to you and congratulations on a successful event," the note from Baldwin reads. Weinstein was host to the amfAR event.

Weinstein accepted the apology. In true Hollywood style, he then released a statement saying, "Alec couldn't have been more gracious. We all lose our tempers sometimes; trust me, I have too."
