Alec Baldwin kicked off flight at LAX for playing Words With Friends
"30 Rock" star and "Saturday Night Live" regular Alec Baldwin made a lot of passengers on his flight from LAX very unhappy when the flight was delayed significantly... so that the flight attendant could kick Baldwin off.
Word hit the tweet-osphere when Activate founder Michael J. Wolf tweeted, "On an AA flight at LAX. Alec Baldwin removed from the plane We had to go back to the gate. Terrible that everyone had to wait."
So what happened?
Baldwin just really really really wanted to keep playing Words With Friends on his iPad. It was extremely important to him. "Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowonderamericaairisbankrupt"
He was removed from the flight but immediately re-booked on a 3 p.m. flight.
His reps took the whole thing very seriously. "Alec was asked to leave the flight for playing 'Words with Friends' on his iPad, while parked at the gate," the rep says. " Alec is so in love with 'Words with Friends' that he would risk getting thrown off a flight to play. He's already been re-booked on another American Airlines flight."
So in love, you guys.
