Amanda Bynes charged in two hit-and-run incidents
The charges, first reported by TMZ, say Bynes fled the scene of an accident on two occasions, April 10 and Aug. 4. She was initially not charged in the April incident, but investigators reopened the case after the August crash. (She was also involved in an accident on May 5 but wasn't arrested. Cops gave her a ticket after she allegedly scraped a parked car and exchanged information with its owner.)
Bynes, 26, was also charged with DUI after an April 6 incident in which the car she was driving clipped an L.A. County sheriff's patrol car.
Each hit-and-run count carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail. Bynes is scheduled to appear in court on the charges on Sept. 27.
Bynes has pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge and denied the first hit-and-run via Twitter earlier in the year. Following the second incident in August, she stripped her Twitter account.
