Amanda Bynes has been in a psychiatric hospital since late July and it seems she may be sticking around for quite a while. Doctors may be looking to extend her stay until the end of the year, according to a report from Radar Online.
The site says doctors will recommend to the judge overseeing Amanda's conservatorship that she continue to be hospitalized, long-term. A source reveals that doctors have noticed some improvements in Amanda, but that the right drug cocktail hasn't been discovered yet. "She has her good days and bad days," the source says, "and the goal is obviously to get her therapeutic and stable before being released."
Amanda's mom, Lynn Bynes, has temporary conservatorship over her, which lasts until September 30. She is attempting to extend it to permanent status, which the source says may be the only way Bynes will remain in the hospital, explaining, "Amanda wouldn't agree to continue treatment." On an odd note, it's rumored that Bynes may wind up with her own reality show after she's discharged.
