Amanda Bynes transferred to a new hospital to continue treatment for a mental illness Thursday (August 15), TMZ reports. The former child star has moved from a psychiatric hospital in Ventura, Cal., to the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The move comes a week after Amanda's mom, Lynn Bynes, was awarded a temporary conservatorship over her daughter, which lasts until September 30. According to the site, Lynn wanted Amanda to be transferred, as UCLA has a great psychiatric facility. Bynes was spotted leaving the hospital in Ventura, covering herself head-to-toe with a sheet and wearing what looks like a bright blue wig.

In addition to Lynn being granted temporary conservatorship over Amanda, a judge also ruled that Bynes' psychiatric hold be extended 30 days. It's the second time her stay has been extended since Amanda was taken into custody on July 22.
