Amanda Knox returns home to Seattle, holds immediate press conference
The Knox family landed in Seattle at 5:08 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Time. They were greeted by family, friends, supporters, and the American press. After getting off the British Airways flight, the family held an immediate press conference outside of Sea-Tac.
Knox's family had to remind the 24-year-old to address the crowd in English, not Italian. Weeping, she said, "I'm really overwhelmed right now. I was looking down from the airplane and it seemed like everything wasn't real. What is important to me is to say thank you to everyone who has believed in me. My family's the most important thing to me right now and I just want to go and be with them."
Seattle has embraced the Knox family, with "Welcome Home" signage in various places, like her father's home, her former schools, and her local record store.
Now, the question remains -- after Amanda has spent some time at home to reconnect with family and friends, what will be her next move? Who gets the first interview? The book deal? The inevitable big-screen movie?
