Amazon orders 'The After,' 'Transparent,' more pilots to series: Report

the-after-pilot-amazon-chris-carter.jpgAmazon has reportedly chosen the second batch of series it plans to order from its second round of user-rated pilots. "The After," "Bosch," "Mozart in the Jungle" and "Transparent" will all turn into full series to be streamed on the website's Amazon Prime service.

Although Amazon Studios would not comment on the development details, Variety reports that the two dramas and two comedies will soon start production on full seasons.

"Bosch" follows a cop (Titus Welliver) who is accused of murdering a serial killer suspect, and investigates the murder of a 13-year-old boy while standing trial for his alleged crime. "The After" comes from "X Files" creator Chris Carter and follows eight strangers who must use each other to survive in a mysteriously violent world.

The comedies include "Mozart in the Jungle," which was written by Roman Coppola and Jason Schwartzman and follows behind-the-scenes antics at the symphony and stars Gael Garcia Bernal, and the dark family comedy "Transparent," starring Jeffrey Tambor, Gaby Hoffmann and Jay Duplass, among others.
