'Amell Wednesdays' video: CW promotes 'Arrow' and 'The Tomorrow People'

Wednesdays this fall, The CW has two good looking cousins headlining its shows: Stephen Amell of "Arrow" and Robbie Amell of "The Tomorrow People." So why shouldn't the network use this to its distinct advantage by promoting Amell Wednesdays?

A new video, "Another Player," previews the two shows. Check it out for new footage and a whole lot of Amell goodness.

"There's another player in town ..." Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) says to his partners-in-vigilantism at the beginning of the video. That's about right. While "Arrow" is beginning its second season, "The Tomorrow People" is a brand-new show for the network. Based on a 1970s British sci-fi classic, "Tomorrow People" focuses on a group of young adults who represent the next stage of evolution.

In the promo, this mostly shows itself in hands-free weightlifting and teleportation for fighting purposes. They wisecrack a fair amount too.

"Arrow," meanwhile, is not new but different. Major casting changes are afoot -- Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity), Colton Haynes (Roy) and Manu Bennett (Slade Wilson) are regulars now -- and Oliver has a new purpose following the death of Tommy ( Colin Donnell) in the Season 1 finale.

The shows' premiere date of Wednesday, Oct. 9 can't come soon enough!
