lily-rabe-american-horror-story-asylum-dark-cousin-fx.jpgYou know someone had to be in trouble when "American Horror Story: Asylum" spends so much time introducing an angel of death (Frances Conroy).

Lizzie-Brochere-American-Horror-Story-Asylum-dark-cousin-fx.jpgConroy's dark angel kept popping up throughout "Dark Cousin" threatening to help ease Lana (Sarah Paulson), Sister Jude (Jessica Lange) and Grace (Lizzie Brochere) to the other side, but coming just short every time. At least until she came for Grace a second time, after the poor girl threw herself in front of a bullet meant for Kit and bled out on the kitchen floor. Does anyone really ever die on "American Horror Story"? We'll find out for sure next week, but it doesn't look good for Grace.

What else we learned tonight:

- Sister Jude isn't a killer after all! The hit and run accident that has haunted her ever since she became a nun wasn't fatal after all. But the victim's parents are still pissed off years later, and Jude couldn't bring herself to confess.

- Sister Mary Eunice (or at least the demon inside her) isn't very happy there's an angel in Briarcliff. Let's hope there's an epic showdown brewing between these two. Now that we've seen what Mary Eunice can do when she's angry (Dr. Arden kinda deserved getting thrown across the room, didn't he?), we want more.

- Poor, poor Lana. She got free from crazy rapist killer Thredson (Zachary Quinto) and wound up hitching a ride with another nutjob (William Mapother), who shot himself after ranting about his unfaithful wife. The resulting car crash landed Lana back in Briarcliff, where the only person she has to talk to is Sister Mary Eunice. At least she hasn't found herself on Arden's surgical table... yet.

- Now that it looks like Kit has lost Grace, how will he find out more about the aliens and whether or not Alma is really still alive?
