chloe-sevigny-getty-american-horror-story.jpgMore exciting news from the world of "American Horror Story" Season 2. Chloe Sevigny, formerly of HBO's drama "Big Love," is in talks to play a major role in the second season, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Sevigny is negotiating to play Shelly, a nymphomaniac who one of the nemeses of Jessica Lange's character. The second season of the show is set in a different era than present day, at an institution for the criminally insane run by Lange. The writers reportedly wrote the role of Shelly with Sevigny specifically in mind.

It should be quite a departure from the uptight and traditional Nicolette Grant Sevigny played for five seasons on "Big Love."

Sevigny joins the previously-announced cast of returning actors Lange, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Lily Rabe, plus new addition Adam Levine. We can hardly wait - is it October yet?
