'American Idol': A thrill for Miranda Lambert, down to her Bowersox
Fresh off her three wins -- including female vocalist of the year -- at the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, the singer of such tunes as "Kerosene" and "White Liar" is rooting loudly for Bowersox as the ninth season of the FOX talent contest heads into its final weeks.
"I think she's amazing," Lambert tells Zap2it at the end of a week when "Idol" went country with mentor Shania Twain. "[Crystal] is who she is, and I love people [with whom] there's no question what they do. They get up there, they do it, and you know who they are. That's my favorite kind of artist."
The girlfriend of fellow country star Blake Shelton, Lambert admits the current "American Idol" round is only the second one she's really followed, the other being the fourth season won by Carrie Underwood. "When someone like Crystal Bowersox is on there," Lambert says, "it's easier for me to watch, you know? I'm always interested to see what she'll do."
