'American Idol': Bo Bice, newly shorn
The "Idol" season 4 runner-up has gotten rid of the halfway-down-his-back mane he had on "Idol" and for several years after that (the picture at left is from 2008) and is now rocking a shoulder-length, Keith Urban-ish haircut. (You can see the new 'do at People.com.)
Bice's new look coincides with what he's calling a "new style of music" on his next album, "3," which is due in May. He describes the new record to People as having a more country-tinged sound and adds, "With all these new aspects going on in my career, it was just another thing that I felt needed a bit of change."
Bice cut his hair off in two stages, first chopping off 10 inches -- which he donated to Locks of Love, which uses donated hair to make hairpieces for kids who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other medical issues. He later had five more inches lopped off.
Despite the new haircut and a shift in gears for the new album, though, he still promises the "same Bo Bice" on stage.
