'American Idol' considers Top 12 house, Vegas side trip

american-idol-s10-judges-320.jpgThe revamp of "American Idol's" 10th season isn't stopping with the new judges or schedule.

Producers are reportedly thinking of adding new elements to the show that won't affect the competition format, but could have an affect with voters at home and the singers themselves, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Let's break it down:

Top 12 house in the Hollywood Hills - If the producers decide to have cameras and behind-the-scenes footage, then voters at home could be swayed by the contestants' personalities or how hard they worked on a song.

Twitter - Producers could relax Twitter rules this season after yanking the accounts last season and putting them all in one feed. Once again, the personalities could sway voters, but there's also the potential for spoilers.

Las Vegas road trip - The report is that a side trip to Vegas could integrate Cirque du Soleil's Beatles-inspired Love show. The musical element makes it a natural fit. We're not opposed this, but we demand "The Hangover" allusions!

This new season will be different -- better or worse remains to be seen. We're afraid all this extra stuff will make the show even longer. Enough!

Are you down with the new changes?
