'American Idol': Crystal Bowersox's 'Holy Toledo' hits airwaves

crystal-bowersox-idol-320.jpgApparently Crystal Bowersox does not need to win "American Idol" to take to the radio airwaves. A song called "Holy Toledo" from her pre-"Idol" days hit the "Idol" airplay charts this past week.

According to USA Today, a Toledo, OH-based radio station 101.5 The River (WRVF-FM) has picked up this little ditty and played it often enough to land it at No. 90 on the airplay chart. Crystal's "Holy Toledo" recorded 16 plays this past week, landing it right above Carrie Underwood's "Star Spangled Banner" and right below Ruben Studdard's "Sorry 2004." We aren't sure what is more surprising -- that Crystal is already on the radio or that "Sorry 2004" still is.

Take a listen to the song below and let us know what you think! Frankly, we think it's pretty good, not that we are surprised. Her voice is subdued and very pretty on the piece and it really reminds us of Tracy Chapman -- not in vocal tone, but the song itself.
