american-idol-season-12-finals-kree-harrison-candice-glover.jpgIt's down to the Final 2 on "American Idol" Season 12 -- Kree Harrison versus Candice Glover. Who do you think will win it all?

Round 1 is Simon Fuller's choice, Round 2 is the single each girl will release should they win, and Round 3 is favorite song of the season.

Kree won the coin toss and she has elected to sing first. Huh. We think that's actually a mistake -- you don't want Candice ending the night if you want to win this thing.

1. Kree Harrison, "Angel," Sarah McLachlan

Really nice choice for her -- Simon Fuller proves he is >>>> Jimmy Iovine, that big doof last week. Anyway, this is right in the wheelhouse for what Kree does best -- she can make it a touch country, it builds beautifully to some big stuff. Gorgeous start to the night.

2. Candice Glover, "Chasing Pavements," Adele

Adele could be great for Candice, she just really needs to use her straight-up powerhouse and not get too caught up in the runs. Doesn't really fit the song. However, this ends up being ... good but not great. It's solid, but it's not as moving as Kree was. Candice does her diva thing, but it's a little lackluster, for us.

Round 1 -- Kree

Interestingly, Randy disagrees and gives it to Candice. He calls them both sleepy, but we disagree. Mariah saying Kree was "delicate" is spot-on, while Candice was lackluster for us. Difference of opinion, though.

3. Kree Harrison, "All Cried Out"

Love the steel guitar. As a song, this doesn't have the universal appeal of "Home," but to the country music lovers out there, this could take off like wildfire. Vocally, it's in a very sweet spot for Kree -- though does she sound a little sick to anybody else? Like her voice isn't just quiiiite there like it normally is? Hmm.

4. Candice Glover, "I Am Beautiful"

Oooh, love the low stuff at the beginning. As a song, we don't love this as much as "All Cried Out." Not the message -- the message is great, the lyrics are great. And Candice is singing her butt off. But ..... hmmm .... there's something about the melody line we don't care for. We can't put our finger on exactly what it is. Maybe it's too pop-y? Hmph.

Either way, neither song blew us away and vocally, that wasn't the best either girl can do, so we'd call Round 2 a draw. And Keith and Nicki support that, as they are split in their votes.

5. Kree Harrison, "Up to the Mountain"

Great, great choice. And she looks absolutely smashing. Man, Kree sounds so much like Carrie Underwood at moments. This is spectacular -- this time she's got the smoke and the choir and the beautiful gown, plus vocally she just builds and builds so nicely. Terrific performance.

6. Candice Glover, "I (Who Have Nothing)"

Chills. So good. Nothing else to say, except that this arrangement was better than the one she did earlier this season.

Round 3 -- Candice

Kree has been our favorite all year, but Candice was the superior singer tonight and maybe all along. She certainly threw the gauntlet down at the end.

We wonder why Kree chose to go first? Did she know she couldn't compete with following whatever Candice's last song was?

Well, "Idol" can't go wrong with whichever girl wins, so we congratulate them both on being excellent singers. However, if Candice does win, we want Kree's single to be released anyway, haha.

What say you, "Idol" fans?
