"Americal Idol" has its third judge heading into a new season. Harry Connick Jr. will indeed join Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban on the show's upcoming 13th season.

The news comes from THR, who says Connick attended a small party thrown by "Idol" producer Simon Fuller at Bouchon, a bar and restaurant in Los Angeles, Thursday (August 29). The party, celebrating the upcoming announcement about Connick, was also attended by Urban, Lopez and Randy Jackson, who will mentor instead of judge.

Season 13 marks the first time none of the show's original panel will judge the competitors, with Jackson being the only one who has stuck around since the beginning. Ryan Seacrest, another face that's been with the show since Season 1, teased Friday, "Got some @AmericanIdol news for you coming very soon."

Fox has yet to make an official announcement on Connick's joining the show.
