'American Idol': Kara DioGuardi backs Harry Connick Jr. for Simon Cowell's spot

kara-dioguardi-idol-320.jpg Kara DioGuardi has made her choices known for who should replace Simon Cowell on "American Idol" and which two contestants she sees in the finale next week.

DioGuardi tells People, "It's sad to see Simon go, but the show is more needed now than ever because it's harder for people living in obscure places to find a manager who will bring their record to someone who can make a decision."

She also says that Harry Connick Jr. "obviously cares, and when you're a judge you have to be invested, opinionated and charming."

How can we find a way to get her to join our Facebook page backing Harry Connick Jr. as Simon's replacement?

Kara also says, "I think it will be a Crystal [and] Lee finale." To that, we say -- duh. No offense to Casey James, who is talented and very likable, but we think the Crystal-Lee finale has been inevitable for several weeks now.
