'American Idol' producers say Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey feud rumors are 'inaccurate'

nicki-minaj-mariah-carey-fighting-american-idol.jpeg "American Idol" brass have remained mum ever since the video of Nicki Minaj cursing out Mariah Carey during auditions leaked online, but now the producers have issued an official statement regarding the alleged Nicki-Mariah feud.

"This is one of the best, most passionate, dynamic and invested judging panels we've ever had," the producers say in a statement issued to Zap2it and other media outlets. "We love and support all of the judges and the fantastic work they are doing, and we can't imagine a better group to find the next American Idol."

They continue: "Despite all the accusations and media speculation -- much of which is inaccurate -- production is going extremely well today and the judges are focused on finding the best talent here in Baton Rouge."

Well, that solves that! (Actually, it solves nothing, but now you know where they stand: On the sidelines while their show gets publicity months before it even airs.)

What do you think of this feud? Is it a publicity stunt? Should the producers own up to some tension or let it play out naturally?
