"American Idol" Season 14 will have at least one familiar face at the judges' table when it returns in 2015. Harry Connick Jr. revealed that he would be returning to the singing competition for a second season while appearing as a guest on "Live with Kelly and Michael" Wednesday (May 14).

The reveal came about after Michael Strahan noted that "Idol" had only recently been renewed for its 14th season. He then asked if Connick would be a part of that return. "I'll be back," was Connick's brief but telling response.

Technically, this does not mean Connick is a certain return or that he will necessarily return as a judge. Prior to the current Season 13, Connick had appeared on "American Idol" both as a performer and as a mentor. This was his first season at the judges' table. The statement does, however, indicate that Connick at least wants to return next season -- indicating that "Idol" might find its Season 14 judges more quickly this year. Co-judge Keith Urban was the only returning star, with Connick and Jennifer Lopez added later.

"American Idol" Season 13 airs Wednesdays and Thursdays on FOX.
