'American Idol' video: Lauren Alaina's performances benefit from vocal rest

lauren-alaina-finale.jpg "American Idol" finalist Lauren Alaina injured her vocal cords during rehearsals for tonight's last performance show -- reportedly, she was struggling so much that producers made sure second runner-up Haley Reinhart was on hand to jump in just in case.

Luckily, the "Idol" doctor gave Lauren plenty of medicine and put her on vocal rest, and she managed to make it to the stage for her last chance at the "Idol" Season 10 crown. She opted to perform second, and was able to choose her favorite song from the season as her first song of the night. She went for Carrie Underwood's "Flat On the Floor."

For the second round, Underwood actually got to choose the song for Lauren. She went with country favorite Pam Tillis' "Maybe It Was Memphis." Lauren - dressed as sparkly as can be - impressed J. Lo with the song. She said that Lauren sounded "strong and clear and beautiful."

In the final round, Lauren introduced the song "Like My Mama Does" which will be her first single if she wins. Her voice definitely cracked a few times, but she still sounded strong. Randy Jackson compared her to Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez thought she may have won it with the song.

Watch the performances below in case you missed them (we'll update them as they become available). What do you think? Did Lauren win your vote, or are you Team Scotty?
