'American Idol' goes back to the Lennon, McCartney songbook for Week 4

john-lennon-paul-mccartney-320.jpg"American Idol" had to wait seven seasons before they got the rights to use the songs of Beatles greats John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

And while Kristy Lee Cook proved that "Eight Days a Week" was not meant to be a country song, "I Saw Her Standing There" proved deadly for David Hernandez.

The Lennon/McCartney theme is back for Season 9, with the Top 9 performing songs from the duo next Tuesday (April 6).

Can't wait to see if anyone can come close to David Cook's take on "Eleanor Rigby."
