Things are revving up for the big boy band hoedown known as the New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys tour this summer aka NKOTBSB. New Kids' Joey McIntyre and the Backstreet Boys' A.J. McLean stopped by "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" on Tuesday (April 5) morning to talk about what fans can expect from the tour.
First things first, "American Idol" Season 6 winner Jordin Sparks will be opening for the guys. She recently released a single from the soundtrack for Disney's "African Cats" soundtrack called "The World I knew" and she's currently in the studio working on her third album.
Rehearsals start next week for the tour. McIntyre and McLean told Seacrest that fans can expect both the crews to do all their big hits plus "blow the doors off" with duets and intertwining performances that will undoubtedly include songs from their joint album coming out on May 24, which includes the recently released single, "Don't Turn Off The Lights."
The two guys also talked about what it's like to do a bus tour with so much testosterone involved and they joked about the off-and-on friction between the groups. Just think about the money, guys!
