'American Idol's' LaKisha Jones: Lee DeWyze is her Season 9 winner
Zap2it's Joseph Kapsch picked the former contestant's brain on what she thought was going through Mamasox and Lee's minds right at this "finale moment."
"I think they're very, very nervous," LaKisha tells us. "I think they're prepping those songs and going over in their head all the lyrics ...I just wish 'em both luck because I once too was in this place ... and also had that goal in mind of winning something."
Did Lakisha ever think that perhaps it was better to go out earlier in the competition? "I wanted to win," LaKisha declares and then laughs, "I think America still got it wrong."
As far as Lakisha's opinions on this year's finalists, she says: "[Lee] has a very humbling spirit. I just see that he's very grateful for the opportunity. I can see some passion in his eyes when he sings and I think that comes across very well on camera."
"I think that Crystal ... is very, very talented," LaKisha continues. "She's in it for the right reason as well. I think that either way it goes that they're both gonna come out doing great things."
That's nice and all but c'mon LaKisha -- who wins?
"I normally don't ever do this but what the heck ... Lee DeWyze."
Her fellow "Idol" finalist Kimberly Caldwell picked Crystal Bowersox. And how did David Archuleta break the tie?
"American Idol" Season 9 finale airs Tuesday, May 25 at 8 p.m. ET and the results show airs Wednesday, May 26 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
