steven-tyler-mad-hatter.jpgFrontman for one of the biggest rock groups of all time. Judge on one of the biggest television shows of all time. Has a new memoir out about the entire crazy ride. And now "American Idol's" Steven Tyler can add Emmy nominee to the list.

The Daytime Emmy Award nominations were announced Wednesday (May 11) and after weeding through all the soap operas and talk shows, we were surprised and delighted to discover that Mr. Tyler is nominated for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for his work as the Mad Hatter on Nickelodeon's "The Wonder Pets!"

Tyler isn't a regular on "Wonder Pets," but he joined forces last fall with Idina Menzel (Queen of Hearts) and Ziggy Marley (Cheshire Cat) in an "Alice in Wonderland"-themed episode for the Emmy-winning preschool series that follows the adventures of three singing classroom pets who work together to save animals in distress.
