'American Idol's' Tim Urban writes Taylor Swift's song about Harry Styles: 'Wrong Direction'

First a Harry Styles fan channeled her Taylor Swift angst into an incredibly creative parody song. Now, "American Idol" alum Tim Urban has taken it one step further -- while we're all wondering what sort of song Swift will write about her One Direction beau after their inevitable breakup, Urban actually wrote the song.

The hilarious earnestness of his composition is just up Swift's alley, and we find it so delightful that we're not even going to call him out on using gossip about more famous people to boost his profile. We're just glad to be reminded that he exists.

23-year-old Urban made it into the Season 9 "American Idol" live rounds after another contestant was disqualified for lying on his application. He got all the way to the Top 7 artists before he was eliminated after performing Goo Goo Dolls' "Better Days."

Here are the lyrics to Urban's masterpiece, so you can sing along while you listen:

He was the wrong direction with a beautiful face
He made me smile on those December days
I thought for sure that we had something here
But now he's gone to steal some poor girl's tears

The same tears in her eyes
Are the same tears that I cried

It serves me right for thinking he was different
It serves me right for never ever listening
Next time there won't be a next time for him
And he can keep his accent

Long hair, you know I have a weakness for that
And the silly way he wore those hats
How'd he know just what to say
To make me think that I felt that way

I felt so stupid
Maybe I was stupid

It serves me right for thinking he was different
It serves me right for never ever listening
Next time there won't be a next time for him
And he can keep his accent

This time I'll learn
I got what I deserve
Now I'm moving on

It serves me right for thinking he was different
It serves me right for never ever listening
Next time there won't be a next time for him
And he can keep his accent
