Justin Bieber can be forgiven for the saggy pants he wore during last night's American Music Awards for all the things he got right at the 40th annual awards show. From his "all the haters" speech to the fact he brought his mom up as his date to the show, the Biebs reigned supreme at the AMAs this year.

By the end of the night, Bieber had taken home three of the night's biggest awards: Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist and Favorite Pop/Rock Album. He gave great speeches for all three, but it was his Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist acceptance speech that got the most buzz.

"I want to say this is for all the haters who thought I was just here for one or two years. I feel like I'm going to be here for a very long time," he said.

When he took to the stage to accept his Artist of the Year award, Bieber grabbed the hand of his mother, Pattie Mallette, and dragged her up with him. Much of his acceptance speech was stuttered out, but Biebs got line of the night for saying, "This is my mom. She's little but she's beautiful" to the crowd.

Though it would be a lie to say we didn't wait the whole night hoping for a moment where Bieber tried to win ex Selena Gomez back, he does get major credit for restraining himself. He didn't mention her during any of his speeches, and didn't even ditch the "Selener" reference during his performance of "Beauty and the Beat" with Nicki Minaj

At least he did get some loving during the night, as Jenny McCarthy mauled him when he accepted his award for Favorite Pop/Rock Album, and it should be mentioned that Bieber and Gomez got cuddly at the AMA after-party later in the night. Jelena lives again?
