'America's Got Talent': Prince Poppycock, Michael Grasso tease bigger things
"I know what it's like to go home and I know what it's like to make it to the Top 10," laughs Grasso. "I'm the first magician to make it to the Top 10, so it's a dream come true."
"For a magician, it's very hard and it's very expensive," he continues. "It's not like a singer where you can just come up with a new song. You have to come up with a bigger illusion and every act you do has to basically be a 'closer.' It's very difficult and the timeframe of practice is getting shorter and shorter."
Even though Prince Poppycock is a singer, who can just pick a new song, the pressure for a bigger performance still mounts for the over-the-top opera singer. His Top 10 performance promises a medley of Americana songs complete with a bigger stable of dancers and a quote from the Declaration of Independence.
"'America's Got Talent' has a wonderful array of choreographers and backup dancers that they supply us with, but I am bringing three extra dancers this time because I have a little something extra in store -- I'm doing a kick line, so the more the merrier," Prince Poppycock teases. "It's a homage to both Uncle Sam and Liberace."
"America's Got Talent" airs on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. on NBC.
