Vahedi was known as being a fairly aggressive poker player and was quoted as saying, "If you want to live, you can't be afraid to die" in regards to his poker-playing style.

A sixth place finish in 2003 was the farthest Vahedi got in the main event at the World Series of Poker, but he did take home a WSOP bracelet for winning a separate no-limit Texas Hold 'Em tournament that same year.

Vahedi also won the third season of "Ultimate Poker Challenge." To date, he has earned over $3 million playing poker professionally and was reportedly the poker tutor of actor Ben Affleck.
