amy-poehler-talks-golden-globes-return-gi.jpgNBC and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Tuesday (Oct. 15) that Amy Poehler and Tina Fey will return as hosts of the Golden Globe Awards in both 2014 and 2015.

Poehler, the star of NBC's "Parks and Recreation," spoke with the HFPA about why she and Fey decided to give hosting another go.

"Last year was really fun. We didn't know what to expect," Poehler says. "It was exciting to work with Tina, as always, and it was a strange experience. We had a lot of fun, so we said maybe we can try it again, and like fools, we are giving it another shot."

Much of the material Poehler and Fey perform will be dictated by who's at the Globes ceremony in January, and she says they haven't really thought about jokes yet. "I can't stress enough how little we will prepare until very close to the show," she says. "We'll treat it like 'Weekend Update' -- it's a little 'SNL'-style. ... We get a lot of jokes, write our own, talk [about] bits and we work through them. You can't really do this kind of stuff too early and you can't over think it."

Poehler says she had a great time throughout the 2013 show, but her highlight was "sitting on George Clooney's lap."

The 2014 Golden Globes are scheduled for Jan. 12.
