Andrea Bocelli sells out Central Park concert, even though it's free

If you head over to the official web site for Andrea Bocelli's Sept. 15 concert in New York's Central Park, it promises "a once in a lifetime musical event." It also breaks the unfortunate news that you won't be going.

Tickets to the free event were distributed to venues throughout New York City earlier in the week, but by Friday, Aug. 5, they had all been snapped up.

All is not lost, though. The concert, which will feature the Italian tenor performing alongside the New York Philharmonic and conductor Alan Gilbert, will also air on PBS this fall, with a CD and DVD in the pipeline shortly after.
