andy-samberg-shark-week.jpgFOX has officially ordered an untitled comedy pilot starring Andy Samberg and written by the "Parks and Recreation" team of Mike Schur and Dan Goor, marking the network's first pilot order for fall 2013.

It was just last May that Samberg left "Saturday Night Live." Now he's set to star in and also produce the single camera comedy following a "diverse group of detectives in a precinct at the very edge of New York City," per Deadline. Samberg will play the lead detective, a role which Schur and Goor created specifically for the comic actor.

Since leaving "SNL," Samberg has co-starred in two films with Adam Sandler -- the live action comedy flop "That's My Boy" and the animated hit "Hotel Transylvania" -- as well as the six episode BBC Three sitcom "Cuckoo." He also appeared opposite "Parks" star Rashida Jones in the indie dramedy "Celeste & Jesse Forever."
