Actors Anna Torv and Jennifer Jason Leigh have joined Ryan Murphy's upcoming HBO pilot, "Open." The two women will play lesbian partners in the edgy potential show.

Leigh will play Holly, a yoga instructor who starts to feel attracted to another woman, Grace (a part that has not yet been cast), even though she is in a long-term relationship with Holly, played by Torv. Holly, meanwhile, is perhaps more dedicated to her acting career than concerned about the relationship.

The two new hires will join previously cast actors Wes Bentley and Scott Speedman in the pilot. Murphy co-created the show with Lauren Gussis ( "Dexter"). Leigh has been a prominent film and television actress since the 1980s, most recently recurring on shows like "Revenge" and "Weeds." Torv, an Australian actress, is best-known for playing Agent Olivia Dunham on the science-fiction series, "Fringe."

What is "Open"? While the details of plot and all of the characters remain secret, the main theme of the story is the "modern, provocative exploration of human sexuality and relationships."
